What/who is Logseq?
Logseq is a local first outliner note-taking app that stores your notes in plain text files in Markdown and Org Mode formats which can act as your second brain. You are in complete control of your second brain and not tied into any proprietary software – you can easily transfer your notes somewhere else or even open them with Notepad.
The tool came to life as a side project of an immensely friendly chap called Tienson Qin Twitter. Having lots of notes scattered all over the place led him to develop Logseq. His passion for the tool and the time he takes to answer questions and grow the community are incredible. Logseq is a joy to use, and when things don’t go according to plan, you can sense the devs feel the pain and look to put things right as soon as possible.
I was enchanted by the app as soon as I discovered it and found that it answered most, if not all, of my notetaking needs. There have been some bumps along the way but with each update comes stability improvements and fantastic new features.
I set logseqweekly.com up as a side project to try and capture as much of the useful information that fellow users post on the Discord and in other public locations. Each week I intend to extract as much information as possible from the vast number of posts to compile them in an easy to digest manner.
I am not affiliated to Logseq in any way apart from being a moderator on the Discord. The content that I write is based on my own thoughts and I will aim to give an unbiased and objective view of how I see things.
Some of the information may not necessarily be new, some of it may be well known and I am sure some will be missed, but the aim is to help those that may only occasionally visit the Discord or only skim read the posts.
If there is something you feel particularly strong about, please do not hesitate to contact me.
